Event Recap: The International Association of Broadcasting (AIR) Board of Directors Meeting
Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic from 15 to 17 of May
The annual event was hosted by the Dominican Republic Radio (ADORA). Rosa Olga Medrano, president of ADORA, opened the proceeds at the Embajador hotel in Santo Domingo city.
This event gathered executives of broadcaster associations from 13 LATAM countries such as Brazil, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Peru, among others.

As Xperi was invited to talk about the latest developments in broadcast solutions, we prepared a presentation to showcase the DTS AutoStage platform and our latest feature, the award-winning DTS AutoStage Broadcaster Portal.
We explained to the audience that the DTS AutoStage platform was designed to deliver a visually enriched and safe immersive entertainment experience in the connected car, with a focus on delivering a globally connected radio experience. In addition, it allows broadcasters to have full editorial control of content while offering a rich and consistent user experience, with the added benefit of understanding listener behavior through analytics.
The DTS AutoStage Broadcaster Portal provides insights into how in-car radio listeners engage with the content of the radio stations. These insights include details about the geographic location of the listeners, popular locations and thoroughfares, program performance, and heatmaps that match listening with retail outlets to enable new use cases for advertising and monetization.

The presentation was well received by the AIR delegates, who agreed that DTS AutoStage is a very good platform to put the radio industry on the same competitive footing as other digital etertainment options available to consumers in the car.
At the end of our presentation, we had one on one conversations with the associates to address any questions about the portal. We look forward to the next opportunity to continue showing Xperi´s broadcast solutions in LATAM.
