NAB Show 2026: Introducing a New Era of Radio Analytics
DTS was proud to once again join today’s major broadcasters, technology leaders and media innovators from across the globe at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show in Las Vegas. But far from being just a participant at the show, DTS also made a major announcement sure to shape the future of in-car entertainment.
Broadcast radio gets a more premium portal
The NAB Show 2026 marked the official launch of the DTS AutoStage Broadcaster Portal Premium. Most radio broadcasters were already aware of the DTS AutoStage Broadcaster Portal, which has been helping radio stations better understand how people listen to AM/FM radio in the car. Broadcasters have been using the award-winning portal’s real-world, in-car listening data — not surveys — to glean more specific information about when, where and how listeners are engaging with their stations.
Enter the new Premium tier. It builds on the existing portal’s foundation to deliver deeper insights faster than ever. Premium subscribers don’t have to wait weeks or months for high-level reports because the DTS AutoStage Broadcaster Portal Premium shows them:
- How their station ranks against competitors at different times of day (morning drive, midday, afternoon, etc.)
- Listening heatmaps and trends that update much faster, so stations can respond while it still matters
- Expanded music insights showing which songs are resonating most with listeners
- Downloadable data that can be used in ad sales presentations and program planning
In short, the new Premium tier turns raw listening data into something broadcasters can act on almost immediately. And with this wealth of information at their fingertips, broadcasters can program smarter, further allowing them to compete more effectively and even unlock new revenue opportunities.

More highlights from NAB
Attendees were able to experience DTS AutoStage in person in a Genesis GV80, offering a real-world look at how hybrid radio experiences appear in commercially available modern dashboards. New this year, an interactive digital globe brought DTS AutoStage’s global scale to life, showcasing availability across 150+ countries, and its ability to deliver U.S. broadcaster data across 300+ local markets.

DTS product experts took broadcasters through the full range of offerings, including HD Radio, which is now in 125 million cars in North America, and AIM Player, a leading app platform which extends radio stations’ reach to mobile phones and other connected devices. Meanwhile, senior leaders like Joe D’Angelo, senior vice president of commercial strategy and partnerships, and Juan Galdamez, senior director of broadcast strategy and business development, were featured presenters during two sessions.
Meeting the moment
NAB is always a prime opportunity for DTS to connect with industry partners and peers and the 2026 show was no different. DTS took full advantage of having so many current and future customers in one place, taking over 100 meetings to share the value of our offerings, especially the DTS AutoStage Broadcaster Portal Premium.
“The initial response to the launch of the DTS AutoStage Broadcaster Portal Premium has been phenomenal, with broadcasters of all sizes expressing strong interest,” said George Cernat, senior director of content acquisition and EMEA business development. George also noted how the global mix of attendees reinforced the broad, international appeal of DTS’s offerings.
This sentiment was echoed by Fabian Zamarron Moreno, senior manager of business development for Mexico and Latin America, who said, “The NAB Show remains the most important event for broadcasters across Latin America, and this year we saw strong interest from industry leaders throughout the region in the implementation of HD Radio and DTS AutoStage in cars and the various ways to monetize through metadata transmission.”
In addition to the strong interest, DTS also took home some impressive hardware from the show. The DTS AutoStage Broadcaster Portal Premium was recognized by Radio World with a Best in Show 2026 award and a NAB Show Product of the Year 2026 award.

The biggest reward is helping our broadcast partners navigate their future with confidence. The DTS AutoStage Broadcaster Portal Premium is just the latest example of how we inspire that confidence with better data, faster insights and smarter tools.
