DTS AutoStage Broadcaster Portal presented at EGTA CEO’s and Top Exec’s Summit in Warsaw

EGTA CEO’s and Top Executives’ Summit is an annual conference organised by a non-profit of European TV and radio sales houses. This year’s event took place on June 1st and June 2nd in Warsaw, Poland. Members of our DTS Connected Car team travelled to Warsaw to attend the event for the first time and bring big listening data to the radio industry.

The CEOs’ & Top Execs’ Summit is one of EGTA’s three annual physical events – gathering over 200 senior decision-makers from across Europe and beyond, whose main mission is to monetise content, optimise revenue and sell advertising on behalf of major broadcasters. This year, as the TV and radio industry faces a tipping point on several fronts, the conference focus was on mastering the art of balance as the key to successfully transforming our industry for the better. Several speakers were talking about joining forces, cooperation, balancing between collaboration and competition in a very ad-tech and data-oriented audio ecosystem to establish growth in the future.

The first day of the Summit was full of TV and Radio joint sessions hosted by several speakers from companies like Uber, Central European Media Enterprises, NRJ Global, Nielsen and Orange. The speakers presented use cases and shared their expertise on themes like navigating the streaming landscape, opportunities for audio and video players, delivering deduplicated cross-media measurement, new in-car advertising opportunities, strategies for success and more.

On the second day of the conference, TV and Radio sessions were split into dedicated keynote presentations running in parallel in separate rooms. Our DTS Connected Car team’s Gereon Joachim, VP automotive sales & strategy, EMEA and Desmond Fuller, senior director of hybrid products, gave a well-received and highly anticipated radio keynote. They talked about DTS AutoStage, the only global hybrid radio platform and its newly launched DTS AutoStage Broadcaster Portal whose unprecedented big listening data insights empower radio broadcasters everywhere in the world to better understand and connect with their audiences and to power new revenue opportunities with advertisers.

The DTS AutoStage Broadcaster Portal was revealed earlier this year in March at Radio Days Europe in Prague. The portal is available to all broadcasters who sign up and integrate with DTS AutoStage, at no cost, and provides insights into how their in-car listeners engage with their content. The powerful analytics tool gives broadcasters key audience data on the geographic location, popular locations and thoroughfares, program performance and heatmaps that match listening with retail outlets to enable new use cases for advertising and monetization.

Broadcasters can request access and sign up for free at onboarding.connectedrad.io. To join, broadcasters need to provide three things: Static data, Streaming URL, and Live data from station’s programming system.
