iBiquity Digital and BMI Name Dylan Altman Next Featured Artist in HD Radio™ Artist Spotlight

Columbia, Maryland – March 17, 2015 – iBiquity Digital Corporation, the developer of digital HD Radio Technology for AM and FM audio and data broadcasting, and Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI) have announced that Dylan Altman will be the next artist featured in the “HD Radio Artist Spotlight” program.

One of country music’s most successful songwriters, Altman leads the Dylan Altman Blues Band into the HD Radio Artist Spotlight, where they will partner with the HD Radio brand and BMI on a number of initiatives. The Dylan Altman Blues Band is an all-star lineup that includes keyboardist Gabe Dixon, drummer Nick Buda, and bassist Allison Prestwood. Originally from the great state of New Jersey, Altman has been writing songs and performing in Nashville for 18 years.   Altman is a career songwriter with number one songs cut by Jake Owen, Jason Aldean and Tim McGraw. When he isn’t writing for top performers in country music, Altman tours extensively throughout the U.S.

The HD Radio Artist Spotlight enters its second year with an impressive track record, supporting such artists as Charlie Worsham, Ashley Monroe, Due West, John Pardi, Muddy Magnolias, George Ducas and Toby Lightman.  This new music initiative was created to help support up-and-coming artists and grow established acts by supporting tours, connecting them with local HD Radio stations and creating new experiences for fans.  Using HD Radio technology, stations are creating new broadcast channels, known as HD2s and HD3s, which are the perfect outlets for new music discovery.

iBiquity’s partnership with Dylan Altman will build awareness of HD Radio broadcasting and promote performances of the Dylan Altman Blues Band. His widespread popularity in the Nashville area makes him the perfect musical talent to represent the HD Radio brand.

Throughout the partnership, the Dylan Altman Blues Band will be performing regularly at Belcourt Taps in Nashville and on the road at marquee events such as the 2015 Key West Songwriter Festival.

The relationship between BMI and iBiquity Digital has grown from their partnership in successful music events including the Key West Songwriter Festival, CMJ Music Festival, SXSW, Crested Butte Songwriter Festival, as well as artist promotions.  The new program expands the brand and partnership between the two organizations and will open up opportunities for other business partners to join the program.  Alpine Electronics was the first partner to join this program supporting Charlie Worsham when he joined Brad Paisly on his latest tour.
