TPV and DTS Bring DTS Play-Fi to Philips Products
We are excited to announce our new partnership with TPV Technology Limited (TPV), the world’s leading monitor and LCD TV manufacturer and licensor. TPV will begin integrating DTS Play-Fi into its Philips brand televisions, sound bars and speakers across Europe, China, Russia, Latin America, and Asia Pacific.
DTS Play-Fi is a premium whole-home wireless audio technology that connects all products within its ecosystem. Play-Fi products work seamlessly with each other and are capable of streaming high-resolution audio files without downsampling or transcoding with Critical Listening mode.
With DTS Play-Fi now onboard, TPV products will be able to easily integrate with all other DTS Play-Fi enabled products. This ensures listeners will get to choose how they listen to their content – through their TV’s built-in speakers, headphones, or surround sound speakers – without losing quality or synchronization.
“DTS Play-Fi’s advance streaming functionality like wireless surround sound, hi-res audio support, music station presets, and audio/video synchronization will be a true point of difference for our Philips branded speakers,” said Keith Chow, director, global product management for audio at TPV.
