European Radio and Digital Audio Show in Paris
At the annual European Radio and Digital Audio Show in Paris, digital radio and DAB+ solutions headlined many of the conferences and exhibitions. With our success in rolling out radio technologies and solutions in North America, this event gave us an opportunity to showcase our latest radio product, DTS Connected Radio. Highlighting Xperi’s role, Joe D’Angelo, Senior V.P. Broadcast Radio for Xperi, spoke at a session titled “DAB+ is the Core Future Platform for Radio” with other notable DAB+ professionals.
In an interview with Salon de la Radio, D’Angelo spoke about the user benefits of Xperi technologies in the digital radio space, stating, “[with DTS Connected Radio], you’re now, as a driver, going to have a living list. You will know what’s playing on every radio station that you can listen to. You can now interact with your radio and select stations based on voice commands and the programming that they’re offering.”
As for automotive manufacturers, D’Angelo outlined the benefits of working with Xperi as DAB+ becomes more ubiquitous: “the experience for hands-on engineering and product development support for car companies as well as the understanding of the radio business is a unique combination that really sets Xperi apart from alternatives that are out there.”
