DTS:X is 100 Movies Strong
DTS is proud to announce that with the release of Lionsgate’s “American Assassin” this Friday, September 15, 100 movies will have been released in DTS:X immersive audio at theatres worldwide.
In just two years, DTS:X has exploded onto the worldwide market.
- All major Hollywood studios have released DTS:X titles.
- More than 450 screens throughout the US, Asia and Europe have a DTS:X system.
- More than 50 mixing stages in 17 countries have installed DTS:X production tools and are creating DTS:X mixes for upcoming films.
“American Assassin” kicks off an exciting fall season with DTS:X titles coming from major studios, including “Lego Ninjago” on September 22, and “Blade Runner 2049” and “My Little Pony” on October 6.
With DTS:X, audiences experience immersive audio that transports them into the world of the movie with sounds in front of, behind, above and beside the audience, precisely where the mixer places them.
Moviegoers in North America can enjoy DTS:X films at select screens from AMC, Brenden Theatres, Cinépolis, Cinemex, Epic Cinemas, Regal Cinemas, UEC Theatres, The Movie Experience, Classic Cinemas, Pacific Theatres, Cobb Theatres, Schulman Theatres, and Cinema Café.
