DTS Creator Class: ChelseaBytes

Intro

I’m Chelsea, the eldest of 5 kids from Houston, Texas. I grew up watching my dad play Tomb Raider and Resident Evil, which of course led to me wanting my own games! As my family grew with more siblings, I became the designated “entertainer” and started playing games with my siblings. As I got older, I slowly grew into the character I admire today: Inspired, Eager to learn, and always creating. I knew computers were going to be a big part of my life, just not the way everyone expected. When I moved out to California, I began to stream to fill the time between job searches and the very loud silence of the day. I got to meet more people and share with them not only my knowledge as a computer scientist, but the fun I had in my spare time. We learned together, but also gamed and laughed together too. Almost 2 years later, ChelseaBytes finally has a mission: To be a space and resource for aspiring Tech enthusiasts, Computer scientist, and other nerds :).

What game(s) do you play?

I play tons of games, including God of War, Resident Evil, Bioshock, and now Apex Legends and more! We’ve got quite the selection since I’m a variety streamer.

How does it feel to be part of the DTS Creator Class of streamers, and what are you looking forward to most?

It’s always such an honor to be recognized for your work! When someone is interested in your growth, it’s one of the purest learning environments both parties can ever have. As an avid student, I can’t wait to see behind the curtain of what makes for even better, more effective . I’m most looking forward to engaging with the other streamers in my class and seeing what will come from our strengths!

What’s your favorite movie? Favorite song/artist?

My FAVORITE movie to watch is Ratatouille NOT because it’s focused on the best thing in the world (food), but because the design and colors of the movie is extremely immersive to me.

I can always fall back on Kelsey Lu as an artist, because her songs are immaculate! My favorite was her performance at a store opening https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G2w-PRTn5iE I don’t think she ever released them on an album :(.

When you’re not gaming, what do you like to do for fun?

I love the outdoors, so I’ve recently gotten into biking and just riding as far as I can. Gardening is also a new thing for me, seeing as I killed my last few plants some years back… I love writing short dramas, singing, drawing, and playing tabletops like DND (Which is technically a game, but it counts, right?)

If you could have any superpower, what would you pick and why?

Honestly, I’ve always just wanted to stay awake. If I could be a hybrid where if all I had to do was solar charge for some hours or plug myself in, that would be game-breaking. I could keep working, gaming, etc. for as long as I’d like.
