Under the show’s Connect + Discover theme, the broadcast team led by Joe D’Angelo, svp of global radio and digital audio, in partnership with the National Association of Broadcasters, went big with a dazzling display of technology. This was encapsulated by the presence of Mercedes Benz C-Class, model year 2023, equipped with both HD Radio and DTS AutoStage. The car was a hit with the attendees, who queued up excitedly to see the best of radio technology enabled by Xperi.

Radio Analytics for the Connected Car Era

The team showcased the award-winning DTS AutoStage Broadcaster Portal, which won several accolades at the NAB Show in Las Vegas earlier this year and was recognized for its impact most recently at the IBC Show in Amsterdam. In addition, svp of global radio and digital audio Joe D’Angelo spoke about the significance of the DTS AutoStage Broadcaster Portal for radio stations worldwide in his sessions titled: “Your Station’s Data-Driven Story: The Connected Car and Your Listeners’ Station Experience.” Joe shared the stage with Xperi partners Justin Chase, chief content officer, Beasley Media Group, and Steve Shultis, CTO, NY Public Radio. The session was a deep dive into how stations across the broadcast spectrum can use the DTS AutoStage analytics tool to make intelligent and informed decisions on programming and their infrastructure spend based on real data from real listening habits.
