The Last Witch Hunter: Now Playing in DTS:X Audio Technology

The Last Witch Hunter, which opened this weekend and stars Vin Diesel, Rose Leslie and Elijah Wood, will be exhibited in next-generation DTS:X sound in select theaters, including the MuviCo 14 in Thousand Oaks, Calif., and the Brendan Theaters at The Palms Las Vegas.

The Last Witch Hunter is an action/adventure/fantasy film about a lone witch hunter, standing between humanity and the combined forces of the most horrifying witches in history.

DTS:X is an object-based, multi-dimensional audio technology that replicates a real-world sound environment, conveying the fluid movement of sound through a space and around the listener, transporting the audience into a new dimension of sound immersion and  delivering a premium entertainment experience.

By installing DTS:X-approved equipment that renders MDA files and plays audio in theaters outfitted within the DTS:X speaker configuration guidelines, theater owners can provide their audiences with the most compelling, immersive sound experience possible. The system’s inherent flexibility provides a compelling, immersive experience for moviegoers in any of their theaters, regardless of size or configuration.

The Last Witch Hunter Synopsis: The modern world holds many secrets, but by far the most astounding is that witches still live among us. Witch hunters have battled this unnatural enemy for centuries, including Kaulder, a warrior who many years ago slayed the all-powerful Witch Queen, decimating her followers in the process.
