What games do you play?
Bio-Shock, Rainbow Six Siege, Overwatch, The Evil Within, Outlast, War Thunder, World of Warships, Tomb Raider, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, The Sims 4, PUBG, Battlefield 4, Minecraft, Fable, Hitman, The Witcher 3, Just Cause, Dead Space, F.E.A.R., and Assassin’s Creed.
Who is your favorite character (of any game you’ve played)?
Master Chief, from the Halo Series. He is a very powerful character yet in the games you feel small in the shadow of the forgotten remnants of the “Forerunner” civilization. You also come to find a bond between him and his companion, Cortana, which really connects you to the character. The Master Chief is a super human that represents humanity in the face of all odds against them.
Tell us about your gaming rig (be as specific as you like).
As a father of 3 (two boys and one girl), I don’t have the budget like I had when I was single. As such I still have a capable setup consisting of my Xbox One, Surface Pro 4 (i5 8gb), and my Dell Inspiron 15 (i5 8gb). My main platform in Xbox. However, I do enjoy several titles such as War Thunder, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, The Sims 4, World of Warships, and Outlast on my laptop. As my laptop has only integrated graphics, I have to play at 720p medium-high settings with approximately 30fps. This is playable for me and I make the most of it. I enjoy using my Razer Naga Mouse and Xbox One controller with chat pad. For audio, I use the free AKG earbuds that came with my phone and a pair of Parrot Zik 1st generation headphones I got as a Christmas present a few years ago. These have served me very well, but the Arctis Pro Headset is going to take it to the next level!
How will the SteelSeries Arctis Pro headset enhance your gaming setup and experience?
I can’t begin to imagine how the SteelSeries Arctis Pro headset will improve my gaming. From what I have read, this will allow me to go to the next level of immersion in my media. I appreciate any tool that lets me be fully immersed in the atmosphere of a game or movie. I am a huge fan of DTS and the technology they produce in the quest of fully engaging your audio experience. To actually feel like you are there and surrounded by sensation is an amazing thing. As I do not have any fancy home theatre set up, I believe this headset will allow me to really experience what the content creators intended. It’s an exciting prospect to be able to revisit some of my favorite places in gaming and most likely hear things I never knew were there. Many new journeys await with the SteelSeries Arctis Pro headset!
