LG Adds DTS Virtual:X Technology to 4K TVs

DTS and LG are collaborating to bring DTS Virtual:X Technology to televisions. LG’s latest 4K Ultra HD TV will be the first TV to incorporate DTS Virtual:X premium audio post-processing solutions, bringing height to your in-home entertainment system. Utilizing DTS’ leading virtual surround sound the technology supports any input source psychoacoustically delivering up to 7.1.4 immersive content with no additional speakers.

The Virtual:X adaptability allows users to apply one or more features simultaneously, including Virtual Height, Virtual Surround, Bass Enhancement, and Multi-Band Hard Limiter.

The first LG TVs with DTS Virtual:X technology are now available in Korea. Additional, global-availability to come.
